Sharka Rey

Sharka Rey is a Czech-born, Swiss-based psychosomatic sex educator and performance artist whose work explores the intersections of the erotic, the political, and the personal. Rooted in embodied presence, ritual, and radical intimacy, her practice is informed by academic studies in psychology and social sciences, alongside deep engagement with conscious bdsm, yoga, breathwork, tantra, qi gong, contact improvisation, theatre improvisation, somatic bodywork, experimental voice work, and capoeira.

Since 2013, Sharka has been closely connected to Schwelle7 in Berlin, presenting durational participatory performances and workshops at the Xplore Festival since 2016, and co-curating one of its thematic spaces since 2024. Her international experience includes a year in India (2014) studying and teaching yoga, and founding Playground Sibulan in the Philippines (2015)—a community space for yoga, meditation, and somatic practices. Besides, she introduced Contact Improvisation to the local dance scene and engaged in social projects supporting survivors of sexual violence and youth in detention.

From 2016 to 2019, Sharka was an active member of the Come&Play (former Touch&Play) collective at the Nowhere Festival in Spain, contributing to its queer-feminist, consent-based, and body-liberating culture.

In 2019, she founded ThePlace2BE in Basel, Switzerland, —a multidisciplinary space for conscious sexuality events, art projects, and discourse. Though the venue paused during the pandemic, Sharka continues to work locally and internationally through performances, collaborations, and educational programs including workshops, talks, and one-on-one coaching.

Since June 2025, Sharka has been actively engaged in social activism against the genocide in Gaza, joining direct actions, and creating a long durational protest performance piece “Undeniable” (5h and 12h formats). This visceral act of embodied resistance has been recently presented in a public space in Brussels near the EU Parliament and in Geneva in front of the United Nations, embodying grief, rage, and unwavering solidarity.

Vanessa Langer is a psycho-sexo-somatic practitioner, anthropologist, trainer for professionals and teacher of movement and meditation. She works with intimacy, sexuality, emotions, relationship dynamics, trauma and kinks. She also creates immersive soundscapes and traces connections between the intimate, the environment, the poetic and the performative.

As a somanaut, she holds transformative spaces that question collective narratives and explore reflexivity, embodied presence, and altered states of consciousness. Through sensory-based explorations, she creates experiential journeys where perception becomes a way of inhabiting the body and the world.

Sex Magic as Political Activism

Sex magic is the conscious use of sexual energy—particularly at the moment of orgasm—either through solo practice or with partners, to manifest change on a personal, spiritual, or political level. In this workshop, we explore sex magic not as an isolated spiritual tool, but as a radical act of resistance and political activism.

Together, we set our intentions toward peace, justice, and basic human rights in regions where these have been systematically denied—such as Gaza.

This is a space to transmute grief into power, silence into intention, and erotic energy into a force for justice.
