Matís d’Arc is a rope, BDSM and play enthusiast, seminar organizer and leader, sex worker, coach and sometimes artist & performer. Studies of literature and cultural work in the fields of contemporary music and dance theatre took him from Munich to Argentina and finally to Berlin in 2010. There he discovered his passion for ropes and BDSM during excursions into the fetish and queer-kink scene and finally found an experimental home in Felix Ruckert’s >>Schwelle7. Since then he has been convinced that the conscious and practical examination of the body, intimacy, sexuality and BDSM not only gives a lot of pleasure, but can also open up a special access to one’s own personality and a path to its development. In order to explore this potential and to offer others the opportunity to try out and discover new things, he founded the label ‘luhmen d’arc’ together with Klara Luhmen in Berlin in 2013, which develops and realizes events and art in various formats – workshops, performances, lectures, jams, play parties. Since 2016 Matís d’Arc lives and works in Zurich and Berlin.
